Children with pediatric Long COVID need medical care and school support that recognize their condition as real and serious. The Long Covid Families Internship Program invites students and recent graduates into work that helps families navigate this chronic illness. Interns help translate research, strengthen communications, and contribute to national advocacy that improves access to care and education.
Experience
You will create family education materials, review new pediatric research, and support advocacy efforts that reach lawmakers, clinicians, and school leaders.
Mentorship
You may sit in on strategy conversations, join the team’s working sessions, and see how thoughtful communication moves research and policy forward.
Impact
Your work will help children access care and stay connected to education. You will help ensure their real experiences guide research and policy decisions.

You do not need prior experience with Long COVID. You will grow your skills through meaningful work that supports families.
Internships are remote and part time. Positions are unpaid and may qualify for academic credit through your college or university. We provide recommendation letters and portfolio work samples to interns who complete the program.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Most interns begin in January or September.
Projects change each semester and may include research translation, digital communications, content creation, policy support, or family outreach.
