Our Programs

Four programs. One purpose.

Keeping childhood within reach.

So more people understand pediatric Long COVID

Within Reach tells the stories of children with Long COVID and shares what the research shows, so more people understand this illness. Together, we keep childhood within reach.

One person can change the course of a child's life.

Changemakers is our recognition program for people whose actions created meaningful change for children with Long COVID. Someone saw what a child needed and did something about it. Anyone can nominate a Changemaker, and we share their stories so others can see what is possible.

Our first Changemakers will be announced in January 2027.

Helping doctors and schools recognize and support children with Long COVID

We turn pediatric Long COVID evidence into resources clinicians, educators, and public health professionals can use. The aim is practical: help the adults responsible for a child’s care and school day recognize their needs and act.

Shaping the policies that support children with Long COVID

We bring research, families’ lived experience, and the effects of policy on children’s lives to policymakers. We work to change the laws, district rules, and funding decisions that shape access to school support and medical care.

How the four work together

Building understanding

Showing what
is possible

Helping doctors
and schools

Changing policy

All four lead to the same place: real changes in a child’s medical care and school day. Within Reach helps more people understand pediatric Long COVID. Changemakers shares what one person did for a child so more people can do the same. Partners in Care gives doctors, school nurses, and teachers tools they can use. Advocacy brings what families need to the people who make policy.

Support the work

Children who got sick years ago are still missing school. Children are getting Long COVID now. They need the adults responsible for their care and their education to understand what is happening and act on it, and they need it now.
