Long Covid is a multi-organ system chronic condition that occurs as a result of a Sars-COV 2 infection. (Insert info about your child’s illness you’d like to share here.)
I am concerned about the lack of treatments for children with Long Covid. Not just for my child, but for all children with Long Covid.
According to a recent State-of-the-Art review, 20% of Covid cases in the U.S. are in children. Current pediatric Long Covid prevalence estimates are 10% – 20%. Long Covid is estimated to affect up to 5.8 million children in the U.S.
I am urging you to help children like mine by supporting the Moonshot for Long Covid and to ensure that an equitable portion be directed to pediatric research. I also ask you to support S.3726 CARE for Long Covid Act.
